Rhubarb & Custard Fool
Rhubarb fool is a traditional British dessert dating back to the 17th century. I combined stewed fruit with cream. It originally contained gooseberries but rhubarb became popular in the 19th century. My version combines rhubarb, custard and cream and it is a really simple dessert to make especially in the summer after a barbecue. I have added some pistachios for some colour and crunch. Cream of Tomato Soup
This is another soup recipe from my cafe and is delicious with or without the cream. It is made from tinned tomatoes and I have added carrot and celery for a bit of sweetness. I find that some tomato soup can have a metallic taste and sugar is added but I like to add a natural sweetness to mine. Sticky Toffee Pudding
